The New York State Cannabis Control Board on Tuesday approved a proposal to allow medical cannabis patients to grow their own marijuana. Patients may grow up to three mature and three immature plants at home. Designated caregivers with two or more patients may grow up to six mature and six immature plants. Separately, the Cannabis Control Board also OK’d 19 new adult-use cannabis conditional cultivator licenses to bring the total in the state to 261.
