If voters in Maryland, Missouri, Arkansas and North Dakota approve adult cannabis in their respective states today, the combined adult use cannabis market in those jurisdictions could total more than $2.8 billion by 2026, MJBizDaily reported on Tuesday. Voters in a fifth state, South Dakota, are voting on a ballot item that would allow cannabis possession and home cultivation, not retail sales. Polls indicate that Maryland and Missouri voters appear to be more amenable to cannabis measures, with questions over whether the other states will OK them. The most likely state to green light adult use cannabis could be Maryland, where 70% of state voters have signaled support in polls cited by MJBizDaily. The AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF is up 2.5% in recent trades.
